My Story
I started out as a mechanical engineer, designing components, working with CAD, understanding how things are actually made. That foundation gave me a deep understanding of design, engineering, and manufacturing, shaping a more precise and practical approach to sourcing.
After completing my Masters in Germany, I joined an early-stage clean energy startup as their first employee. There was no supply chain. I built it from scratch while the company was racing to bring a new generation of switchgear to market. Over five years that grew into 750+ suppliers across Europe and Asia, a team of 15, and cost reductions of up to 30%.
Along the way I co-founded and built Hubtric Manufacturing in India, a company specialising in CNC machining, injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication, tooling and fixtures. Building and scaling a manufacturing company while leading procurement gave me a perspective you cannot get from the buying side alone. I have sat on both sides of the table and I know what a supplier can and cannot do, because I have been the supplier. That experience has strengthened my understanding of supplier capabilities, machining processes, and make-or-buy decisions, and how I work with engineering and production teams to develop sourcing strategies that improve cost, quality, and scalability.
I still get excited when I walk through a factory floor. That curiosity about how things are made is what got me into engineering and it never really left. Outside of work, I am probably exploring how science and engineering shape the world around us, singing, or on a long walk.
